Microsoft introduces unified PC game library with AI Copilot and features tailored for Indian gamers.

Microsoft has unveiled a significant update to its Xbox app for Windows, introducing a unified PC game library that brings games from various platforms — including Steam, Xbox, Game Pass, and Battle.net — into one central hub. With this update, PC gamers can now access all their games from a single interface, eliminating the need to juggle between multiple launchers.
This unified library is currently available in preview for Xbox Insiders, with a full rollout expected by the end of 2024. Microsoft also confirmed that support for additional storefronts will be introduced in upcoming updates, further cementing the Xbox app as the all-in-one solution for PC game management. The update also brings compatibility with handheld Windows gaming devices, such as the ASUS ROG Ally.
AI Copilot for Gaming Debuts on Mobile
Another exciting feature is Copilot for Gaming, an AI-powered assistant integrated into the Xbox mobile app for Android and iOS. Now in beta, this tool serves as a virtual gaming companion — helping users with gameplay tips, walkthrough suggestions, strategy guidance, and tutorial video recommendations. Microsoft plans to extend this Copilot feature to PCs and Windows-based handhelds later this year.
Console and Mobile Gaming Enhancements
The update brings new improvements for Xbox console and cloud gaming users as well. Players can now:
- Customize their Home screen more easily
- Pin or hide games and apps
- Quickly access recently played titles
- Explore new Game Hubs for real-time stats, achievements, and friends lists
Microsoft has also improved Cloud Gaming sync, ensuring a smoother switch between devices with safeguards to prevent data loss.
Game Pass Perks for Indian Gamers
- Good news for Indian gamers: Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers now get quicker access to exclusive perks — including free in-game rewards, characters, cosmetics, and bonus content — all from within their mobile or console Xbox apps.
With this rollout, Microsoft is redefining the gaming experience across PC, console, and mobile, offering convenience, intelligence, and personalization — all in one ecosystem.
